1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using the Scoriii app (“the App”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the App.

2. Service Description

Scoriii is a sports scoring app for iOS and Apple Watch that helps you:

  • Track scores for 6 racket sports: Squash, Tennis, Table Tennis, Pickleball, Badminton, and Padel
  • Sync live match scores between iPhone and Apple Watch
  • Compete with nearby opponents via Challenge Mode with peer-to-peer connectivity
  • Track leaderboards and Elo ratings across all supported sports
  • Record HealthKit workouts with heart rate and calorie data
  • Score singles and doubles matches with full partnership statistics
  • View head-to-head records and match history

The App is designed as a personal score tracking tool. Scoring accuracy and Elo ratings are provided for recreational purposes and are not guaranteed for competitive or official use.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the App. If you are under 18, you must have parental or guardian consent. The App does not collect personal data from any user, regardless of age.

4. User Data and Privacy

Scoriii stores all data locally on your device using SwiftData. We do not create user accounts, collect personal information, or transmit data to external servers. Optional iCloud sync goes directly to your personal iCloud account. For complete details, please read our Privacy Policy.

5. Purchases and Payments

Scoriii offers an optional one-time Pro upgrade:

  • Pro upgrade: €7.99 (one-time purchase)

Purchases are processed exclusively through Apple’s App Store using StoreKit 2. By purchasing, you also agree to Apple’s Terms and Conditions.

  • The Pro upgrade is a one-time purchase that unlocks voice announcements, Display Mode, and keep display awake permanently
  • All core scoring features remain free forever
  • Refunds are handled by Apple per their refund policies

6. Intellectual Property

The App, including its design, code, content, icons, and branding, is protected by copyright and intellectual property laws. You may not:

  • Copy, modify, or distribute the App’s source code
  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
  • Use the Scoriii name, logo, or branding without written permission
  • Create derivative works based on the App

7. Your Content

All data you enter into the App (match data, player names, scores, and statistics) remains your property. We do not claim any ownership or rights to your data. You are responsible for the accuracy and legality of the information you enter.

8. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the App only for its intended purpose of sports score tracking. You may not:

  • Use the App for illegal activities
  • Attempt to compromise the App’s security or functionality
  • Use automated systems to interact with the App
  • Redistribute the App outside of the App Store

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that:

  • The App will be error-free or uninterrupted
  • Scoring calculations are 100% accurate for official competitions or tournament use
  • Elo ratings reflect true competitive skill levels
  • The App will meet all your specific requirements
  • Data will not be lost due to device failure

Scoriii is intended for recreational score tracking. For official matches, always defer to a certified referee or official scoring system.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App, including but not limited to:

  • Incorrect scores or match outcomes based on App data
  • Data loss due to device failure or software issues
  • Interruption of App availability

Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App in the 12 months preceding the claim.

11. Termination

You may stop using the App at any time by deleting it from your device. We reserve the right to discontinue the App or any features at any time.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms of Use from time to time. Changes will be indicated by updating the “Last updated” date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms. For significant changes, we will provide notice through App Store release notes.

13. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany. Any disputes arising from these terms or the use of the App shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts in Germany. If you are a consumer within the European Union, you also have the right to bring proceedings in the courts of your country of residence.
